BIOGRAPHY

Christy Lavene has been with MSU’s College of Human Medicine since 1992. She started her career assisting medical students at MSU-CHM's Flint Campus for 17 years before the opening of the Traverse City Campus in 2009. The move north for her was obvious for personal reasons as her family originated in Antrim County and many still resided. It was like coming home. Christy is passionate about helping students achieve their goals in medicine. She says there is no prouder moment than the day she introduces them as Doctors when they walk across the stage at commencement. Christy is always hopeful her students will return to practice in Northern Michigan.
