BIOGRAPHY

Susan Tincknell is the Community Administrator for the Upper Peninsula Campus.  Although she lived in Lower Michigan until she was five, she considers herself a native Yooper. Since moving to the UP, she has lived in Negaunee, a small town of 4,500 just outside of Marquette.

Susan graduated from Northern Michigan University with communication studies major and a minor in management.  In her free time, she loves playing tennis, home improvement projects, rubber stamping, and spending time at her family camp. Susan is married to her husband “Tinck” and has two sons, Ryan and Kyle.  They are both students at Northern Michigan University.  Susan feels her time spent with the students is what is most rewarding, especially when it comes to helping students with career planning and the residency process.
